Cooking – Simple Jalapeno Poppers: Garden to Plate


Jalapeno peppers from the garden sauteed in butter, panko crumbs and garlic. A yummy not too spicy treat!

We’ve been teasing this Jalapeno Popper recipe for a few of weeks. Here’s the quick and easy recipe via our next door neighbor Karen.

Ingredients:

8 Jalapeno Peppers

8 oz Cream Cheese

8 oz Cheddar Cheese (shredded)

1 cup Panko crumbs

1 clove garlic (pressed)

4 tablespoons butter

Directions:

Cut jalapeno peppers in half and remove seeds

Mix creamed cheese and shredded cheddar cheese in bowl

Fill each pepper half with cheese mixture

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Melt butter in cast iron skillet on medium heat.

Add pressed garlic and cook until golden brown.

Add Panko and cook to golden brown.

Place stuffed jalapeno halves cheese side down on the panko mixture.

Place skillet in oven and bake for 30 minutes.

Let skillet rest for 15 minutes and serve.
